DMK is building a new cheese dairy in Bobrov, some 600 kilometers south of Moscow. Specialities in brick, cylinder and spherical formfrom cheese varieties such as Tilsit, Gouda, Gouda and Maasdam will be produced there. The new site will employ around 150 people and have a processing capacity of around 450 tonnes per day (approx. 165 million kg of milk per year). The decision in favour of Bobrov was mainly due to the raw milk supply and the infrastructure. According to DMK, the investment sum is in the low double-digit million euro range. The plant is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2020.
