More freedom for cheesemakers

Producers of the PDO protected Parmigiano Reggiano cheese have temporarily more freedom: for the time being they no longer have to make cheese out a mixture of evening and morning milk, but can use the raw material freely. Previously, the relevant regulations only allowed cheese to be made in the morning. By relaxing the regulations, the EU and Italy are reacting to bottlenecks caused by the corona epidemic.
