Date 11.27.2018 | Category: News
The second edition of Health & Nutrition Week opened yesterday with a high-level Future of Nutrition Summit. The event brought together independent food pioneers and thought leaders to explore cutting-edge innovations in nutrition that are likely to change the face of the food & beverage industry in 5+ years.
Throughout the week an attractive line-up of events has been programmed to cover the latest industry trends, create new networking and educational opportunities and complement the international trade show for health ingredients.
Health & Nutrition Week offers more than 50 partners from the food industry, market research and academia an unique opportunity to build awareness for their organisation or business, engage and collaborate with pioneers, and drive growth with the decision-makers shaping the health and nutrition landscape.
The International Union of Food Science and Technolgy (IUFoST) and Gesellschaft Deutscher Lebensmitteltechnologen e.V (GDL) will deliver a workshop focused on emerging food technologies and their applications titled ‘Healthy Foods Through New Food Processing Technologies’.
Smart Short courses offers specialist courses for those who wish to use their stay in Frankfurt for further training. The course titled ‘Nutritional & Functional Lipids – Characteristics and Applications in Food Systems’ is a useful reference for processors, product formulators, chemists and technicians as well as business managers familiar with oils & fats applications. In addition, Euromed S.A. in cooperation with American Botanical Council, Hylobates Consulting and Extrasynthese, will organise a short course on ‘Adulteration and Fraud of Botanical and Natural Health Ingredients’ covering the issues, challenges and prevention tools for the Industry.
Ahead of the screening of the Institute of Food Technology (IFT) funded documentary, Food Evolution, a networking breakfast, moderated by Bertrand Emond, Chair of IFT British Section, will bring together different voices to discuss the challenge that misinformation creates for the food industry. The English-language documentary will be screened twice, once with German and once with Chinese subtitles.
