FrieslandCampina is recovering

FrieslandCampina is recovering. That's what cooperative chairman Frans Keurentjes said in an interview with the Leeuwarder Courant. He bases himself on both the sales figures and the sentiment among the members. According to Keurentjes, several members who left last year (mainly to A-ware) regret this and would like to come back. They would realise that they were better off at FrieslandCampina. In addition, the management has a better grip on the company and things are going better from a business point of view.
Keurentjes is not allowed to mention any results yet, but according to him, the half-yearly figures to be published at the end of July will be a lot better. According to him, this is because the market shares of FrieslandCampina products are increasing and sales are increasing.
The Planet Proof process has been a success, both with the consumer and with the members, he claims. Nearly 600 farms are expected to take part. According to the RFC chairman, Planet Proof would become the sustainability hallmark in the dairy industry. He also reiterates that the persistent rumours about FrieslandCampina's planned IPO are nonsense. "Not at all on the agenda," he says.
