Contingency plans have been put in place by the Irish dairy industry to secure the up and running of dairy plants. The Corona pandemic could lead to a shutdown of plants once critical staff are being put under quarantine. The Irish dairies have agreed to send staff from one milk processor to another in the event of a serious Covid-19 outbreak. The concern for being able to process milk is more serious as peak milk supplies are nearing next month.
