New drying plant for Gransee Fude + SerrahnBy the end of September, Fude + Serrahn, very much known as one of the major German milk traders have finally entered large-scale milk processing. At their plant in Gransee, Germany a new drying facility has been taken officially in operation. IDM was there, naturally. Fude + Serrahn (fs-milchprodukte.de) have acquired the Gransee plant in 2006 from bankrupt Parmalat. Since then, F+S have increased capacities by heavy investment. In a first stage, €10m were spent for modernization and increase of processing capacities, the building of an acid curd cheese production and a UHT plant. Only few years later, in early 2009, F+S decided to build a drying plant in Gransee. A total of €25m was invested and the result is an absolute state-of-the-art milk drying facility....mehr... |
